WHAT WE STILL NEED:
sharp knives
Larger cerial bowls perhaps ~Steven
cooking and serving utensiles
pots and pans ~Nathan
some kind of electric skillet/grill
blender? ~Nathan (smoothie machine)
TV Tuner card for the media server (Preferably an ATI one)? ~Steven

We need to have a session together on AIM or Skype where we can get together and just pound out who brings what in terms of semi-essential things like paper plates, food to start us off with and what not.  ~Nathan

Do we want disposable dishes etc?  that would just be one more thing we'd have to keep buying, and it can get annoying not eating off of real stuff.  It's not hard to find cheap stuff at goodwill or somewhere, I think I might be going today to see what I can find.  ~Hamilton

Lemme know if you found anything.  My mom always find good, cheap type of things like bowls and such we could use to eat out of, or get utensils to eat with.  Lemme know and Ill have her work her magic   ~Nathan

Well as I said, I got 4 each of plates, saucers, regular and salad forks, spoons, and table knives.  We could use another set of all of these, plus we still need sharp knives, bowls, and stuff to cook in etc.  ~Hamilton
I'll see what I can do about cooking supplies...btw, nice song selection  ~Nathan

I was thinking the other day how we would work the money situation for groceries and such.  I thought perhaps we each could put in 100 or 150 and maybe start a savings account at a local bank with an ATM card, since that would be safer than just keeping a jar or money lying around.  It would be nice to have a pot of money though as we wouldnt have to rely on someone saying "i dont have it now, ill get you back later" or just not having the money, this way we have it, its all in one location, and easily accessible (at least for us).  Then at the end of the semester or year, we split it equally four ways so that noone gets jipped.  Just a thought.  ~Nathan

That sounds like a good idea to me  ~Hamilton

Ok, I've taken care of a good chunk of kitchen stuff we need, now it's your turn.  ~Hamilton

As soon as the new Wal-Mart opens, my mom is going to buy all new dishes, She's going to give us the old ones. She says she's going to give us some food as well. ~Steven

I have a friend of the family who says she is getting new pots and pans, so she said she will give us her old ones.  Additionally, I do not have a blender, but I do have a smoothie machine, which is the same size as a blender, if that works.  As for the banking stuff, I was thinking M&T (if we decide to do it) as they have a full bank right in that shopping center next to Tom's.  Anyways, Ill give it some more discussion with my folks and see what else they might have to say on the matter.  ~Nathan

Somebody did a nice job with formating this page   It seems like we've probably got pretty much everything major taken care of, the only other things that come to mind would be bathroom supplies and things like that.  Only 41 more days   ~Hamilton

That was me who formated the page. It doesn't show up right in Xanga though. We do need to have a Skype conference one of these days. I found Nate's idea about setting up a bank account interesting, so I looked up some information about M&T's checking accounts. They have some pretty slick accounts, one's that include no minumum balance, no monthly fee, and free web banking. Check it out: http://www.mandtbank.com/personal/daily/comparison.cfm ~Steven

The only problem I forsee with the checking is that I dont know if we would be able to get all of us listed as account majors, or if we could get all of us on the account with checks.  This would limit who could go shopping, or would require those who aren't on the account to rely on those that are to write a check or withdraw money.  Or, maybe we could do that and get say two atm cards (i doubt they would give us four) and just keep them hidden or whatever and that way any of us could do the shopping.  A group discussion should definately take place to iron these sorts of things out before we get up to York, or if we don't have one the day/night we all first get there.  Speaking of which we should decide when we are gonna get up so we can all get stuff sorted out together so we wont have to move stuff around each time one of us comes in later.  I personally might be up at York on the night of the 27th for a golf tourney for Sport Management practicum hours.  Anyways, the no minimum balance is nice as we could empty the account during the summer months and not have to worry about losing the account.  ~Nathan

I have more movies then we have time a college, so Ihave that covered., If we need it I also have the minifridge, but I doubt we will. Other the that send me a list of stuff I should get and I can take care of it. srry I havnt been on much ~ the other one

My Mom and I bought cleaning supplies today at Wal-Mart, so I've got that pretty much covered. I got this cool little vacume cleaner and a mop. See my list of stuff for the complete listing. ~Steven

My grandma bought us a crockpot and cookbook.  ~Hamilton

Cool, I got a dust buster type of deal (though it is for cars, but I'm sure it would work in the room, plus I have my duster from last year).  I also got the pots all bought now so we are good on that front as well.  I also got an additional desk type fan (just like my black one last year) so if we need just a little more breezes in the room thats covered as well.  ~Nathan
